Ruth Marion Goodwin

Passed peacefully away at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Care Centre, Old Perlican, on September 21, 2014, Ruth Goodwin of Brownsdale, aged 97 years. Predeceased by husband, Joshua (1993), daughter, Alice (1979) and grandson, Rodney (1973). Leaving with fond and loving memories, daughters: Norma Thorne, St, John's, Anita White, Markham, ON., and Betty Thorne, Mt. Pearl; sons, Lloyd (Joyce), Arnold's Cove and Winston (Daphne), Brownsdale; grandchildren: Joy Thorne Sparkes (Ford), Roxanne White Archibald, Philip White (Sylvia), Scott Thorne (Kelly), Brian Thorne (Holly), Darren Thorne (Lisa), Steven Thorne (Barbara), Kent Goodwin (Carmella), Kurt Goodwin (Melinda), Karla Goodwin, Craig Goodwin (Jennifer), and Denise Goodwin; twenty one great grandchildren as well as an extended circle of family and friends. Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican, Monday, September 22, 2014 and Tuesday, September 23, 2014 with visitation 2:00pm. until 4:00pm. and 7:00pm. until 9:00pm. Resting on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale 10:30am. until 12:00pm. Funeral service to take place Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00pm. from Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Brownsdale. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in her memory to her much loved Brownsdale United Church.
