Chester Eddy

Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family, at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, July 4, 2014, Chester Simeon Eddy of Sibley's Cove, aged 75 years. Predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Myrtle Eddy; parents-in-law, Abram G. and Emily Button; special brother-in-law and friend, Nelson Button; and sister-in-law, Marie Eddy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Joyce; children: Tony (Cynthia) of Mount Pearl, Joy Combden (Robert) of Portugal Cove and Glenda Hindy (Brian) of Paradise; precious grandchildren: Stacey, Kirk, Rachel and Jacob; brothers: Lloyd (Robie), Harvey, Lawrence (Arlene), Leonard (Susan), Wilfred (Joan) and Kenneth (Louise); sister, Eva Hardiman (James); sister-in-law, Jeanette Button; uncles: John Squires and George Squires (Ruth); aunt, Annie Button; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitiation, Sunday, July 6, 2014 10:00am. to 10:00pm. from Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican. Funeral service to take place Monday, July 7, 2014 @ 2:00pm. from Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove.
