Eldon Emberley
1953-2026
Eldon Emberley, aged 72 years, of Upper Gullies, Conception Bay South,
originally from Bay de Verde, Newfoundland and Labrador, died
unexpectedly on September 23, 2026.
He was the beloved son of the late Stephen and Mahalla Emberley of Bay de Verde.
Eldon was a kind, genuine, and caring man who deeply valued the people in his life. Known for his wisdom, respect for others, and thoughtful approach to problem-solving, he often saw things from a unique perspective. He was always willing to share advice and lend a helping hand, whenever it was needed. A Professional Power Engineer by trade, Eldon took great pride in his work and earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic.
In his younger years, Eldon was rarely far from a guitar. He loved spending hours playing music at family gatherings and social events, often becoming the heart of the entertainment. He cherished good company, valued meaningful friendships, and enjoyed creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Eldon shared a deep and enduring love with his late wife, Marguerite, who was his steadfast companion and greatest source of strength. He carried the memories of their life together close to his heart. In later years, Colleen became an important part of his life, providing companionship, support, and comfort through both joyful and challenging times.
Above all, Eldon was a devoted father. He was always there for his sons, Dale of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and Dion of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. No matter the distance, he was only a phone call away - ready to listen, offer guidance, or simply provide support, whenever it was needed.
Eldon leaves to mourn his sons, Dale and Dion; his partner, Colleen; brother, William (Daphne); sisters: Sadie (Bill), Glenis (Ern), and Beulah (Clarence); and the cherished memory of his late sister, Maxine. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Xavier and Ariana; brother-in-law, Lloyd; Colleen's family; as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and members of the Doyle family.
Eldon's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he helped create.
