Gloria was born and raised in Trinity East, NL. Aidan and Gloria were fortunate to have built their own cabin, which Gloria affectionately called "their cottage" close to the family home. She absolutely loved spending time there during the summer months. Gloria loved all flowers, but her favourite were lilacs, and she spent many peaceful hours tending to her garden. Her favourite pastimes included reading and knitting - simple pleasures that brought her great comfort and contentment.
Gloria spent 23 years as the parish secretary for the Assumption Parish Roman Catholic Church in Bay de Verde. Her dedication and commitment to this role were a testament to her strong sense of faith, responsibility, and care for her parish community, earning her the deep respect and admiration of all who had the pleasure of working with her. Whether at her cottage or through her work at the church, Gloria found joy in caring for others and in the quiet moments of everyday life.
For 57 years, Gloria was married to the love of her life. Aidan and Gloria's relationship modelled what true partnership looks like. Their enduring marriage was a testament to devotion, patience, and deep friendship, serving as the foundation upon which their entire family was built.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to brother-in-law, Gerard Noonan, whose unwavering support, kindness, and dedication brought immense comfort to Gloria, Aidan, and the entire family.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Siddiqui and Dr. Stuckless of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John's, as well as Dr. Howse of Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear, for their kindness and compassionate care. Special thanks to Public Health Nurse Laura Turpin, whose care and compassion allowed the family to fulfill their wish of caring for Gloria at home.
