Linda Bursey

Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Thursday, January 22, 2026, Linda (Garland) Bursey of Caplin Cove, aged 72 years.

Predeceased by her husband, Byron Bursey (2019); father, Rendell Garland; parents, Frank and Barbara Cull;
parents-in-law, Mary Alice and Clarence Bursey; sister-in-law, Effie Bursey; nephew, Randy Bursey;
and other special loved ones.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Marilyn, Colin (Samantha), Janice, Carl (Nadine), Marsha (Gavin), and Ashley (Eddie);
grandchildren: Cameron, Erica, Rachael, Brooke, and Maclan;
brother, Bruce (Theresa) Bursey; sister, Florence (Barry) Rodgers;
brother-in-law, Max (Beverley) Bursey; sister-in-law, Marion Bursey;
as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Linda was a selfless, strong, and hardworking woman, who had a heart of gold and a passion for caring for others. She held a special place in her heart for all creatures, big and small. Her love for everyone shines through the many lives she touched with her compassionate and nurturing ways.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia for the amazing kindness, care, and support shown to Linda and her family during her stay.

Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Saturday, January 24, 2026, 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm. from Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Caplin Cove.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are kindly accepted or a donation made be made in Linda's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
