Harold Green
1946-2025
Passed peacefully away, in the presence of his family, at the
Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear, Harold Green of Old Perlican,
aged 79 years.
Predeceased by his parents, Warren and Rachel Green; brother, Robert Green; and brother-in-law, Ted Palmer.
Leaving to mourn his wife, Gloria; sons, Steven (Gina) and Shawn (Mary);
grandchildren: Michael, Carli, Lukas and Matthew;
sisters-in-law: Rita (Llewellyn), Judy (Merrill) and Edith; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Josie) and Don;
nieces, nephews and extended family; close friends, Bob and Marg Turner;
and a wonderful circle of good buddies and treasured friends.
Harold loved food. He loved to cook and he certainly loved to eat. As much as he loved to enjoy food he also loved to share it. Often he would be found cooking up a scoff, enough to feed an army while enjoying a sociable with friends. He gave away more fish than anyone would ever know. Harold had a wonderful sense of humour which he kept it until the end. He was quite happy going for little drives but he really loved to be driven. He will be remembered and forever cherished as an awesome pop to his adoring grandchildren. His love for his wife, Gloria was steadfast, as in recent years he became her primary caregiver devoting his life to her.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm. from St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican.
Interment to take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Harold's memory to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican.
