Amelia "Millie" Sparkes
1951-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the peaceful
passing of Amelia "Millie" Sparkes on July 22, 2025,
surrounded by the love of her family.
Millie was a woman of warmth, strength, and connection. Known for her gift of conversation, she made everyone feel like they were welcome in her presence. She brought joy and comfort to countless lives with her stories, her laughter, and her steady presence.
She leaves to mourn: her daughter, Melanie (Greg); son, Donnie (Heather); her two precious grandchildren, Ryan (Sara) and Katelynn (Devin); her loving sisters: Phyllis, Olive, Marjorie, and Jean; sisters-in-law: Isabel, Sandra, Lorraine, and Catherine and their extended families. Millie also had a special place in her heart for Claire, Stanley, and Hudson. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends and further extended family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd; her parents, Stanley and Margaret Pike; and her brothers, Eldred and Clarence.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Friday, July 25, 2025 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
As per Millie's wishes there will be no funeral service.
Interment and service of committal will take place at a later date.
