Mervyn Emberley
1931-2022
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his brother, Issac and close
family members on January 1, 2022, Mervyn Angus Emberley of Carbonear,
formerly of Bay de Verde, aged 90 years.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Ena; father, Thomas; mother, Gladys; sisters, Vera and Bernice.
Leaving to mourn with very fond memories, his brother, Issac (Phyllis); nephew, Darrell (Della); nieces, Lee Ann (Keith) and Karen Wheaton (Lester); as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. in keeping with COVID protocol and restrictions.
NL VaxPass/ID required for entry. Maska are mandatory. One family/bubble permitted to enter at a time.
Funeral service to take place 2:00 pm. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde in keeping with COVID restrictions and protocol. Due to COVID limitations we ask, if you can at all possible, pre-register with the funeral home (587-2800/587-2836) to expedite VaxPass screening and the collection of contact tracing information. Modified Alert Level 4 limits us to 50 people or 25% capacity, whichever is less.
As an expression of sympathy, in remembrance of Mervyn, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Bay de Verde Anglican Cemetery Fund, Bay de Verde.
