Violet Goodwin

Passed peacefully away at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican on March 1, 2020,
Violet Mae Goodwin of New Melbourne, aged 93 years.
Predeceased by husband, Allison Goodwin; daughters, Lorna and Mary; sons, Allison and Lawrence;
parents, Edward and Ella Sparkes; brothers: Roy, Howard, Gordon, Vincent and Albert Sparkes.
Violet loved her family dearly and always enjoyed visits and having a good laugh. When she was able, she loved spending time in her garden, meticulously caring for her flowers and growing vegetables. She had a great faith in God and enjoyed her weekly Church and bible study. Violet loved socializing with the residents at the Home in Winterton and was well known to everyone as 'Aunt Violet'. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Left to mourn her passing, sisters, Goldie Rodgers and Letty Pryor; many nieces and nephews; as well as an extended circle of family and friends.
Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican with visitation on Monday, March 2, 2020 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
and Tuesday, March 3, 2020 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
A funeral service to celebrate Violet's life will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm. from Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, New Melbourne.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made in Violet's memory to the New Melbourne Cemetery Fund.
