Mabel Halliday

It is with great sadness that the family of Mabel (Bursey) Halliday, originally of Caplin Cove, Conception Bay, announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Lakeside Homes in Gander, aged 98 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John; parents, Amelia and William; and brothers: Roy, Johnny and Clayton. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, her son, Clayton (Effie), Gander Bay; grandchildren: Kelly (Trevor), New Lowell, ON., Christopher, Prince George, BC., and Travis (Rhianna), Rocky Harbour, NL.; great grandchildren: Lily, Jake, Logan and Emory; brother, Frank (Dot), Job's Cove; sister, Evelyn, Old Perlican; sisters-in-law, Elsie Halliday, Montreal, QC., and Irene Bursey, St. John's, NL.; as well as an extended circle of family and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Lakeside Homes. Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 7:00pm. to 9:00pm., Friday, October 2, 2015, from 10:00am. to 9:00pm. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00pm. at Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Caplin Cove.
