Joan Noonan

Passed peacefully away on August 20, 2015, at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican, Joan Ann Noonan of Bay de Verde, aged 68 years. Predeceased by her parents, John and Josephine Noonan; brothers: Edward, Cyril, Gordon and Kevin; sister, Norah. Leaving to mourn, her devoted niece/daughter, Ashley (Cory); three adored treasures, to whom she was always and will always be "Nanny": Abbigail, Tyson and Michael; brothers: Mick (Julie), Bay de Verde, Gary (Elsie), Bay de Verde, Bob (Ellie), Victoria, Warren (Alice), Burnt Point; sisters, Alice (Bill), Lower Island Cove and Gloria (Earling), Mount Pearl; sister-in-law, Veronica, (Low Point); many nieces and nephews as well as an extended circle of family and friends. Joan grew up in a large family in Bay de Verde and spent many years of her life caring for others, especially her family and the clients in her care during her career as a Health Care Worker. She was a warm, kind, loving, gentle lady who was special to all who knew her and in turn made everyone with whom she came in contact feel special as well. She will be lovingly remembered by all. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican, Monday, August 24, 2015, 10:00am. to 9:00pm. and Tuesday, August 25, 2015, 10:00am. to 9:00pm. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 2:00pm. from Assumption Parish Roman Catholic Church, Bay de Verde. Inurnment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
